Bit of a diversion for Dope. Being led by guitar in a deeply moody down tempo slice of ‘Spanish’ modal sonics. Ultimately the vibes and brass of Kind of Dope add their own mood briefly along with some Rhodes. Laid over a more fusion based rhythm section loop arrangement this sets Dope Guitar a way away from their initial offerings. Originally penned in 2017 it took time to evolve into the final release but is worthy of the retro v modern tonal palette being explored by Dope.
