Gaia the goddess. Gaia is Earth. Gaia is the homeostatic state of all living things in the Earths total ecosystem. Everything is connected to everything else in an endless loop of oscillating stasis. The Earth feeds the living things and the living things return their waste to the Earth. In and out through the barriers of the cells. And ultimately we become Earth again. Gaia is within us all.
